Tamara Molinaro will race in Titans RX this year, in what will be her first season competing in rallycross.
The Italian has been climbing the rally ladder over the last few seasons, competing in the junior classes of the Italian, German, Austrian, European, and World Championships.
She made her WRC2 debut last season at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R5 and has continued in the World Rally Championship support category this year in a Citroen C3 R5.
“I am extremely excited and proud to be part of this new Championship,” said Molinaro. “New format, new cars and some of the best drivers in the world, it sounds just great!”
“I had only a little test with the Pantera RX6 and it really impressed me, I am so looking forward to get more familiar with it this weekend,” she added.
Molinaro is one of a number of drivers making their rallycross debuts in TitansRX this year, with fellow WRC competitors Hayden Paddon and Craig Been also among the drivers already confirmed for the series’ inaugural season. Despite her relative inexperience, Molinaro is keen to hit the ground running when the season kicks off on June 29-30 at Essay in France.
“For sure this discipline is something I am not used to practice and it’s very different from rally but for me it’s a big new challenge, and I can’t wait to learn and improve,” she said. “I am probably the least experienced in the series but I promise I will put 110 percent of myself to try to fight these crazy boys, I am not afraid!”
