French rallycross star Jerome Grosset-Janin will compete in the first two rounds of the 2019 TitansRX season at Essay in France.
Jerome, as he now known, joins fellow French national championship regular Antoine Masse as a wildcard driver on home turf when the season kicks off later this month.
“I am very happy that the opportunity opened up to take part in the first race of TitansRX Europe 2019 at Essay,“ said Jerome. „This is a fantastic chance for any driver to compete on such a high level of world class drivers. I can’t wait to see how far TitansRX will take us.“
Jerome has a strong rallycross CV – the 35-year-old was the 2013 French champion, having finished in the top-three in the three seasons prior to that. He has also competed in the European championship, where he has been an event winner and two-time championship runner-up.
Last season he became just the third Frenchman to achieve a podium in the World Rallycross Championship when he took third place at Holjes in Sweden.
„We are so glad have two French top drivers with Antoine Massé and Jerome in the field,“ said TitansRX founder and CEO Max Pucher. „In general, we at TitansRX Europe are all thrilled to bring the future of rallycross Supercars to the first iconic Rallycross track of the series, Essay-Ducs.“
„Twelve racing superstars and rallycross greats will battle it out with identical Pantera;RX6 cars that are as fast as FIA Supercars. An updated regulation and points system which promote more action on the track should provide best in Rallycross competition.“
