Two more names have been added to the roster for TitansRX’s inaugural season, with Ronny Wechselberger and Andreas Steffen confirming their involvement this season.
Wechselberger (pictured), better known as Ronny C. Rock, made his rallycross debut in a one-off appearance in the World Rallycross championship in 2014 and was also in action at the recent TitansRX official test event, where he took a fifth place finish in the final.
The holder of multiple race wins and championship titles across a range of disciplines is perhaps best known however for his stunt driving exploits. He holds six stunt driving Guinness World Records, including one for the tightest handbrake parallel park, and has appeared in a number of films including the Bourne Ultimatum and the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot.
“Of course I was delighted when Max (Pucher – TitansRX founder and CEO) asked me to join TitansRX, because it is a brand-new and amazing project,“ said Wechselberger. „Rallycross is not new to me, as I have already competed once at a world championship event, but doing a whole season will make my dream come true. I am very excited.“
While Wechselberger will compete in the full campaign, fellow German Andreas Steffen will make a single wildcard appearance at the season finale at the Estering.
An insurance broker by day, Steffen also serves as president of his region’s automobile club which oversees the running of the Buxtehude circuit. Steffen also began his rallycross career relatively late on, at the age of 35, but has multiple rallycross starts in S1600 and Supercar machinery at European championship level.
„As a kid I always watched the races at the Estering and already back then, my dream was to become a driver myself one day,“ said Steffen.
Steffen is one of a number of wildcard drivers which will be appearing throughout the 2019 TitansRX season, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
