Andrew Jordan has been announced as the latest driver for the inaugural Titans Rallycross series season.
The 2013 British Touring Car champion began his career in rallycross before moving to circuit racing in 2007.
Jordan will make his Titans RX debut at his home round at Lydden Hill – the second round of the season. He will also take part in the remainder of the campaign alongside his BTCC commitments.
„Having started my career in Rallycross, I have always loved the sport and re-joined whenever possible,” said Jordan. “Competing in World series events most recently, I managed to meet Max (Pucher) who signed me for several races over the last two years.”
“I really enjoyed working with them and hearing about his plans moving forward and seeing how ambitious he was, I straight away wanted to be involved,” he added. “The level of drivers that will be competing from many different areas of motorsport is fantastic and I can’t wait to test myself against them.”
Jordan’s rallycross career is impressive – he won the 2003 Winter Junior Rallycross Championship, the 2004 BTRDA Junior Rallycross Championship, the 2005 the BTRDA Rallycross championship, and the 2005 Super Series Junior title.
In 2006 Jordan became the youngest ever driver to win a race in the British Rallycross Supercar class. A year later he won three races and finished runner-up in the category.
In more recent years Jordan has made sporadic appearances in the World Rallycross championship. He became the first British driver to finish on the podium when he took third on his debut at Lydden Hill in 2014. For the last two seasons he has competed for MJP Team Austria at the British and French rounds of the championship.
„We have known Andrew for some time and are very happy to welcome him on board,” said series promoter Max J. Pucher. “He is a highly skilled and exciting driver.“
The Titans RX series will take off on June 29-30 in Dreux, France.
