TitansRX’s season opener will move to the Circuit des Ducs in Essay France, following the cancellation of the planned first round at Circuit De Rallycross Philippe Chanoine, Dreux.
Dreux recently scrapped its plans to host the first championship round of TitansRX’s 2019 season after it was determined that the venue needed additional investment to host FIA international events.
Series CEO Max Pucher was keen for the first event of the campaign to remain in France, so once the news came through that Dreux would be pulling out of its deal, work quickly began to secure a replacement.
Now Circuit des Ducs, 98 kilometres west of Dreux, has stepped in. The track was built in 1975 and has a mix of 62 percent asphalt and 38 percent dirt over its 937-metre long lap. It regularly hosts rounds of the French rallycross championship as well as the French drifting championship.
The TitansRX event will still take place on June 29-30, despite the change of venue. As with every round of the 2019 TitansRX season, there will be two full days of TitansRX racing, which will be broadcast on Eurosport.
A local support category will also be in action, details of which will be announced at a later date.
