Jerome Grosset-Janin leads round three practice at Lydden Hill

Jerome Grosset-Janin topped a wet opening practice session at Lydden Hill, leading series debutante Andrew Jordan.

The Frenchman usurped Jordan, who had topped the times for much of the session, with a best time of 44.915s, making him the only driver to crack the 45 second barrier.

Topi Heikkinen was third fastest after matching Jordan’s best time. The championship leader finished the session ahead of Timmy Hansen, while Nelson Piquet Jr. rounded out the top-five.

Kevin Hansen was sixth, ahead of Oliver Webb who was the highest performing rookie. The sports car racer, who has never competed in a loose surface event, set a best time of 45.796s, less than a second off Grosset-Janin’s session-topping time.

Ronny C’Rock was eighth fastest, ahead of Dan Rooke, who was driving the Pantera RX6 for the first time in the session.

Tamara Molinaro completed the top-10 ahead of ‚CsuCsu‘ and Andreas Steffen who returned to the series after sitting out of round two.

Rookie drivers Abbie Eaton and Perry McCarthy, along with Reini Sampl completed the field.
