Timmy Hansen set the pace in opening practice for round nine of the 2019 TitansRX season at Nyirad, beating title rivals Topi Heikkinen and Kevin Hansen.
The three traded the top spot throughout the session with the elder Hansen brother emerging on top, his 47.271s lap time almost four tenths of a second quicker than Heikkinen’s best lap. Points leader Kevin Hansen occupied third, with the trio being the only drivers to break the 48 second barrier.
Jerome Grosset-Janin was fourth fastest, ahead of Ronny C’Rock and home hero ‚CsuCsu‘, while Tamara Molinaro and Andreas Steffen occupied seventh and eigth spots respectively.
S1600 frontrunner Werner Panhauser was the quickest of the wildcard drivers in ninth, ahead of fellow debutante Ramona Karlsson who rounded out the top-10.
Just missing out on the top-10 by four hundredths of a second was Abbie Eaton. She was faster than the second Hungarian in the field, Tamas Turi, Dietmar Brandt, Reini Sampl, and Perry McCarthy who completed the field.
